The Les Turner ALS Foundation exists to care for those affected by the disease, answer their questions, support them and their loved ones and provide hope through scientific research. What is ALS? ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is a terminal progressive disease that causes muscle weakness, difficulty speaking and swallowing and, generally, complete paralysis. ALS is scary. Really scary. But we’re here to answer your questions, provide encouragement and ensure you, and those you love, feel comforted and confident as you progress in your ALS journey.
